Several of us put together conferences and I was hoping if you have been to any good sessions you would list what the topic was and who presented and include any contact info if you have it.

Right now I am looking for someone who does a great job presenting on:

*Pre-Employment Testing

*Chart Interpretation (the defensible dozen).

A couple of my absolute favorite presentations (presenters) are the following:

"Nailing the Pretest" by Skip Webb

Best Practices Series (Validated Techniques, Multiple Issue Screening, Chart Interpretation, Symptomatic Question, Concealed Information Test, Three Major Scoring Systems) by Don Krapohl

EPPA by TV O'Malley

I have also received noteworthy instruction via emails, meetings, and telephone conversations from the following:

Countermeasures by Dr. Gordon Barland

Directed Lies by Paul Menges

The following are topics that I, as an examiner, would love to attend:

Report Writing (PCSOT, Pre-employment, Criminal)

Polygraph Quality Assurance

Polygraph Supervision

AFMGQT

Utah ZCT

If your members are interested in the DLST, I'd be willing to come out there and present on it.

Donna,

I agree with Ben on "chart interpretation". There is nothing better for training than a bunch of examiners in the same forum looking at the same charts and offering opinions. Cleve Backster and Ed Gelb took the bold step of sharing the Ramsey charts with many of us. Although there was disagreement in the group, it was a healthy exchange.

Chart interpretation training has been lacking at most of our state and national seminars. It's time to bring it back.

Ted

I agree about the value of chart interpretation and interview/interrogation skills. Also no matter how many times I see Skip Webbs 'nailing the pretest' it has been well worth my time. Plus Gordon Barlands CM training is excellent.

A few of you have sent personal emails and I will be contacting you as soon as I meet with the UPA officers.

First of all, thanks for the comments about my class on "Nailing the Pre-test". I love doing it and I have fun doing it as well.

In answer to your question of possible topics, I offer "Working With Interpreters".

With the number of immigrants, both legal and illegal that we have today, throughout the country and with the varied languages and dialects of those languages, I decidd to put together a presentation of 4 hours on the subject. I'm doing it for the Tennessee (TPA)/Kentucky (KPA) Polygraph joint Association Seminar in March in Pigeon Forge, TN.

DACA does a week on this but includes some actual mock crime tests for the students using trained interpreters. My class obviously doesn't include actual exams but does cover quite a bit of information concerning preparation, selection, training, rehersal, and physical positioning for polygraph tests and interviews (post test or others).

So Skip, are you willing to come to Utah again? This time it will be in SL or within a few minutes of SL.

It sounds like a great presentation. Donna

Who could possibly turn down the lovely Ms. Taylor and a chance to visit God's country?
